脉冲激光焊主要用于微型件,精密元件和微电子元件的焊接。低功率脉冲激光焊常用于直径0.5mm以下金属丝与丝(或薄膜)之间的点焊,脉冲激光焊已成功地用于焊接不锈钢,铁镍合金,铁镍钻合金,铂、佬、钽、锯、钨,钼,铜及各类饲合金、金、银、铝硅丝等.脉冲激光焊可用于显像管电子抢的组装、按反应堆零件,仪表游丝,混合电路薄膜元件的导线连接等。用脉冲激光封装焊接继电器外壳,锂电池和但电容外壳,集成电路等都是很有效的方法。

由表可见,激光焊接可在许多类异种金属间进行,铜—镍、镍—钛、钛—钼、低碳钢—铜等异种金属在一定条件下均可进行激光焊。
连续激光焊主要用于犀扳谍熔焊,激光焊由于不受电子束焊真空室对零件的局限、无需在真空条件下进行焊接,故其应用前景更为广阔,尤其是激光焊设备常与机器人结合起来组成柔性加工系统,使激光焊的应用范围进一步扩大。
